Your right, I wish that most Mayors would think that way, Chicago's Mayor is trying to have a gun war, The bigger the better," No' we are having a killing field in Chicago, and he's way of settling the problem is to get bigger guns for the officers in Chicago. This summer is going to get worst, because he doesnt acknowledge the residents that live in this city. "No" I wish that this Mayor would belive in peace its evident that this Mayor dont belive in peace. like i do.

War is etched into the way humans attempt to solve conflict. Shoot first, ask questions later. We threaten war to get groups to the negotiating table, despite the fact that we all know that the opposition reacts defiantly to such threats.

Peace does not seem to be our first choice often. Probably because peace can be so difficult to obtain without resorting to guns or the threat of using guns. We are not skilled at seeking amicible solutions to extremely difficult issues.

Perhaps diplomacy as a creeer could be taught in higher education.

I thought posts in this group were supposed to begin with tough questions not weak analogies .

We are a military powerhouse . We bully other nations for political reasons and to secure resources . It is the hypocrisy of claiming we are spreading democracy or protecting peace and human rights that really messes things up .

Without this hypocrisy we could clean up our military budget and set realistic goals for our soldiers .We could stop making enemies and use our military to secure peace .We might have money left over to make better math tests too .
