People have little if any choice about their sexual orientation but we all have choices about our behavior.

The answer to your question; for me is, yes, I was born this way. I've been actively engaging in homosexual-acts since I was 6yrs.old. Even before that the attraction was there; I just didn't know it was sexual attraction at the time. I remember getting physically hot and my skin becoming prickly and tingling; not to mention how goofy I'd start acting, every time Mr. Greenjeans, Diver Dan, Beanie-boy,or Eddie Munster came on the T.V.

My physical reactions were so strong that from a very young age I didn't let people hug or even touch me because I'd get hard and couldn't understand why.

I'm not kidding, childhood was sort of hell for me sometimes. Society and the church didn't help. Both made me feel that I was crazy, wrong, and doing something bad; and that 'GOD', hated me for being gay! All the 'good Christian people', of the world ever did for me was cause me to become suicidal by the age of 15; THANKS ALL YOU 'GOOD' PEOPLE. I don't mean everyone; but 'they' know who they are.

Thank 'GOD', I got over that difficult time on my own; Yes, I do believe in 'GOD'. I just don't believe in the church anymore. I've had enough of their 'COOL-AIDE', thank you very much. Let everyone else drink all they want; but I've had more than enough.

I think that they are born gay. Some may not realize it until later but if you have gay tendencies early or later there is still something metabolically going on inside that makes one want to be with the same sex. Now this brings up a relating question. Where does curiousity play into this. Someone who is curious how it would be , tried it and hated it and never did it again. Does that make them gay or just confused or curious? I remember a show on 20/20 or Dateline where the mother of a 21 year old gay man said during the interview that she always knew her son was gay. As she watched him interact with the other boys and girls, he was different with each gender and not the way he should be at 5 and 6 yrs old. So it was easy to accept him because she knew.

I have many close friends who are gay, and every one of them says that if they had a choice, they would not be gay...it's really a very hard life for them. So based on that, I think they are born that way and do not choose to be gay.
