Are humans born heterosexual or is it just aculturation?

In single sex environments, all animals that cannot switch gender switch hit. Even humans. Do we pair up he-and-she because Barbie has Ken and Superman has Lois Lane? Why isn't anyone concerned that Batman just has Robin and the butler? If Tink is gay, what is Barney?

Like in all of the animal kingdom, the majority is heterosexual, a certain minority (8% or so) is homosexual, and a large proportion is bisexual depending on circumstances. The main determinents of orientation is biological with environment (like culture and circumstances) having influences of varying strength.
