Yummy. Can't wait!

I make a balsamic vinegrette with a packet of Italian good seasons & balsamic vinegar & extra virgin olive oil. Besides a delicious salad dressing, I marinate veggies and chicken in it for the grill.

Used to buy a bottle of this lemony garlic marinade & now I just make my own. It's a combination of lemon juice, extra virgin olive oil & lots & lots of minced garlic, a little salt & pepper. I emulsify it with a hand held blender and marinate chicken with it. OMG!!! It's better than the bottle and people rave about it.

There is a fabulous lime/soy sauce marinade I use on swordfish. I'll have to look that one up. I serve in with a melon salsa. Goodness...I'm getting hungry.

One of my favorites to add a kick to your chicken is Spicy Chutney BBQ sauce. Very simple to make:

1/4 stick butter

1 medium onion, finely chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 12 oz. bottle chili sauce

1 9 to 10 oz. jar mango chutney

1/3 cup apple cider vinegar

2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

2 tablespoons Dijon mustard

1 1/2 teaspoons hot pepper sauce (preferably habañero)

Melt butter in heavy medium saucepan over medium heat. Add onion; sauté until golden, about 5 minutes.

Add garlic and stir 1 minute.

Stir in chili sauce, chutney, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, and mustard; bring to boil.

Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer until mixture is reduced to 2 3/4 cups, stirring frequently, about 10 minutes.

Then stir in hot pepper sauce. Transfer sauce to bowl; cool to room temperature, about 1 hour.

This can be made 3 days ahead. Cover; chill.

You can put this on pork or chicken.

As you know I'm a lazy bastard, so my recipe is real simple:

Take a couple cups of Thick and Sticky BBQ Sauce, adds about a half-cup of honey and a big shot of hot sauce, and let simmer in a saucepan for about 10 or 15 minutes. As the meat comes off the grill, use a pair of tongs to dip it in this very sweet, very sticky concoction. If you like sweet with your meat, you’ll love this.

What makes this recipe so good is that you can add whatever you want to it!

Basic BBQ ingredients, that's all you need to make it from scratch. And add your own twist!

Cup ketchup

tablespoon mustard

3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

2 tablespoons vinegar

1 tablespoon lemon juice

3 tablespoons brown sugar

1 tablespoon black pepper

Mix all the above in a bowl and that’s it. If possible, let the sauce age overnight in the fridge for 'max' imum flavor! If you don’t like sweet sauces on your meat, omit the brown sugar.

I've made BBQ sauces in the past but they always come out tasting like Bulls-Eye.

So I use that as my base and add lots of cayanne pepper.

When grilling meats I use dry spice rubs and finish with the BBQ sauce.

I really like this honey-hot sauce glaze.

I use it on baby back ribs and chicken.

1/2 cup honey

1/4 cup Franks hot sauce or your fave hot sauce

1/2 tsp hot pepper flakes or you can chop up jalapeno or habanero peppers and toss them in.

Brush on the meat during the last 20 minutes on the grill for a nice glaze.

Very easy, but very tasty.

Here's a mustard based sauce that's great with pulled pork, pulled beef or chicken:

Stir together the 1 cup dijon mustard, 1/4 cup honey, 1/4 cup light brown sugar and 1/2 cup of vinegar. Season with black pepper. Bring to a boil, and let simmer for a few (5-10) minutes.

Then pour over some cooked pulled pork or beef. If you want more flavor, just let the meat simmer in the sauce for about 30 minutes.
