When I visited Germany, many years ago, an old uncle of my step-father's, upon our departure, told us to "Have a good fly."
Yesterday at work, a French woman, whom we import certain goods from, knew we were unhappy about a shipping situation. She sent us an email that said, "I know that you are upset and staring at me."
Can you think of other phrases, usages, and colloquialisms, that translate in odd ways, and yet still make sense? They do not have to be from other languages. There are enough regional usages in this great big country of ours, along with other nations that speak English.
