Oh, my favorite is "efforting". As in I'm "efforting to appear so much more intelligent than I really am".

A common one of these is "conversate"

I can't believe I haven't seen that one (verbization, that is). Makes me growwwwwl. Almost as bad as the misuse of "verbiage" to mean "words." It don't. Der.

My personal-est personal peeve is being "tasked" to do something. Or, almost as good, to "repurpose" something. As in, "I've been tasked to repurpose this ad so that it reaches a different market segment." Gaaaaack. Barf. n' all that.

I'm a copyeditor in an ad agency, and I have many, many axes to grind. I "interface" with others, daily, in this regard. I am curmudgeon. Hear me roar.

You are so right on. I do copy editing as well, and being in the military, we suffer with verbizations by the hour... The government is rife with them...

repurposing is definitely right up there near the top of the barf scale...
