Initiated by a post today on fun words to say, I thought of the word spoonerism. The reason I love this word is because it reminds me of the outdated word, spooning, which was often used affectionately for snuggling and amorous adventures with a loved one.
Thus we have a new word category. Contribute your spoonerisms or use phrases and challenge us to play on it.
Spoonerisms are words or phrases in which letters or syllables get swapped. This often happens accidentally in slips of the tongue
