Day 1 - 'Man on Top' Positions

The so-called ‘Man on Top’ positions are what most people think of when they think intercourse. There are hundreds of variations, however. What I mean by variations is that even a subtle change in position can make a big difference in the way it works for the couple. Variations include the ‘Missionary’ Position as well as many more esoteric ones like the ‘The Splitting a Bamboo’ Position from the Kama Sutra. Generally, with any position in this category, the higher the woman’s legs the more G-spot contact and friction. That can be a good thing, and a difficult one too, if the man has trouble lasting.

What favorites do you have in this category and can you tell us why you like a certain position? What does it do for you and do you have any tips for us?

I'm a big fan of the Liberator Shapes Wedge and Ramp. The change of angle makes all the difference. They work wonderfully well with all variations... terrific for rear entry, super for man on top, great for oral, and yeah, I've used them for woman on top as well.

I also love the Esse chaise lounge and the Cube. With all of these, penetration feels deeper, with far better G-Spot access. A flat mattress can't compare.

You said to leave standing positions alone for now, but it works great with these pieces as well. Yes, I had to sneak it in :)

I use the cockring with the vibrating bullets when I'm on top. Gravity being what it is, in this position, my playmate starts to lose his erection after a time. But with the vibrating bullets, it helps him stay firm. He thinks that it's the best couple toy ever and I have to agree.

There is actually an improvement on that 'old' position, that in my mind doesn't do much for either the man or the woman doing it. It's called CAT - Coital Alignment Technique. Assume the position and then have the man move 'up' towards the woman's head about a foot or so. What this does is put a lot more friction on her clitoris.

Most sex positions don't even allow for rubbing the clitoris. Since that is the way most women achieve orgasm (through clitoral stimulation) it becomes important to find positions that put more friction towards the top of her genitals.

The other move that is very helpful is for the couple to stay very close (faces closer together) and to move up and down (hold onto her shoulders from underneath, guys) rather than in and out. That rubs the clitoral area much better, especially with the adjustments you've accomplished with the CAT technique.
