I can understand that. I am lucky I never have to deal with that, my ex and her new husband live far away and will never meet. It would be hard for me even though I am the one that wanted the divorce. I can't even imagine what it would be like if you had not. A good friend of mine has to deal with the same thing as you. I don't know how she does it other than being a special person and does it for her son. I hope your heart heals soon.

Thanks. I wanted to cry, but I prayed instead. That was a big help. I was the person that left but he opted for divorce instead of counselling.

So sorry. But going forward, you might consider have a little heart to heart with this pastor about how things are with you. Then he might be more sensitive next time around.

I am sure that must have been very awkward at the luncheon because your pain is still there. It's very difficult to move on with your life and still go the places where your ex will frequent.

I am sure those close knit luncheons will have to wait or be cut out for you all together if it makes you uncomfortable.

Talking to your pastor is a great idea so that he is aware of how you're feeling.

I had a friend who didn't want to go into restaurants that they once ate but eventually after healing she again goes into them and thinks nothing about it. In fact, it's surprises her ex how comfortable she can walk into the restaurant and even speak to him and his new partner and go on with her party.

Oh, he's not my pastor but his. He had no idea. It is something I chose to do because it was my friend's 95th b'day and there may not be another. I just need to be more in control of myself.

Time will heal that wound trust me.
