Personally, I would not. I have a very high regard of myself, and I feel that I would be airing my desperation for a mate on public TV.

Honestly, I think I would feel more comfortable standing on a street corner with a sign saying "Looking for an honest, dependable and loving mate!!

At least I would only be viewed by hundreds and not by millions!

I think it is staged. They intentionally instigate battles and hurts. I too would not for the same reasons. Gotta like yourself and that means RESPECT!

I definitely would not. The whole premise is silly, and the "dates" are staged and contrived.

Until this past fall, I never would have been caught dead watching it, until my cousin Brad Womack WAS The Bachelor.

Brad took a lot of heat as the only Bachelor who did not "choose" anyone. He told us family members when we saw him at Christmas that he knew pretty quickly into the production that he wasn't interested in playing out the "proposal" charade.

He had to honor his contract with the producers. The contract did allow him not to choose any anyone, but every female viewer who's ever been hurt has been on the Internet trashing him since the show finale.

As much as we enjoyed watching Brad and, on some episodes, his twin, Chad every week, all our family are glad it's over so that we'll never have to watch "The Bachelor" again!

It must have been difficult. Thank you for sharing. I hope others who read this will not find it a way to attack your family further and request here that they do not.

I think the show played it up so it would infuriate the watchers. Why is it more acceptable for them to find love then to not find it. I hope he will find a true love.

I watched a few shows, as it was the only thing on other than blood and guns, but found myself wondering why they do it? I couldn't, but maybe they sweeten the deal with the travel and such. I really wonder what they tell people. It may seem fun to someone young, but what heartache and drama...

Isn't that show a form of prostitution? I would feel cheap, immoral and oh so shallow if I ever stooped low enough to participate on a show like that!

Now, the Biggest Loser--maybe that is more up my alley! I watched the finale tonight and the woman who won the big money lost 112 pounds -- she looked fabulous! No one who participated on that show were "losers" in the usual sense of the word. All went away carrying a few less pounds and much higher self-esteem.
