The first face of your post shouldnt be confusing. One is innocent and the other is guilty of something as an adult.

I'm in favor of the death penalty and have no problem with current laws affirming abortion in the first trimester.

Unfortunately abortion is a fact of life in America. I think that killing a fetus is "wrong", though. There are lots of things that are wrong that are not crimes.

This is one of the strange places in the law. Aborting a fetus is not murder but killing the mother who provides a life support system for the unborn - where the unborn dies - is double murder. California vs Peterson 2005 -- the Lacy Peterson Case.

The liberals have advocated a welfare state, so I guess all of those unwanted will be consigned to that state. Some may pull out of it, but many others won't and they'll find their way into the prison system where they'll be warehoused. Would abortion have been better? Yes, it's tough to argue it wouldn't have been.

Your question is one that needs to be answered over and over until the majority in this country "get it" and abortion becomes illegal as it should be.

Comparing the most innocent of all human beings, an unborn child, to a criminal whose deed has earned him the possibility of death as punishment is not even possible as a legitimate argument.

Assuming that those of us who do not believe in abortion are opposed assisting parents is not a legitimate argument because your assumption could be based on your own prejudices and not fact. I do not oppose such things, but I do believe more effort needs to be focused on adoption as the most viable solution for unwanted pregnancies. And of course, taking responsibility for yourself in all of life's situations, would be a goal so all Americans make better choices in life. It is not a right as an American to have government money pay for our bad choices. Do you believe there would be less unwanted pregnancies if people understood they would not be able to get an abortion and certainly not have one paid by the government? I do.

I am an adoptive mother. I have a black granddaughter. Again, I feel your prejudice is slanting your view. I am insulted by your comment "black children specifically because those are the children you least want to care for". People I know that are against abortion, believe every life is precious, not just white lives. Our opposition to abortion comes from an unconditional love of human life. That unborn child did absolutely nothing to deserve death.

As John McCain has said many times, abortion needs to be simpler in this nation. Many people are waiting and waiting for a child minus any prejudices. Please don't confuse fact with fiction. A disabled child is much more difficult to place than a black child! Your self-proclaimed fact is not true. Again, your prejudice shows through.

I end with one fact. We are constantly asking for our country to be blessed. But, our behavior as a country, toward this and other immoral issues, is not worthy of those blessings. I thank God He has blessed us richly in spite of some of our laws. At 14 years old I made a statement which has been echoed by me since. Never, ever would I have an abortion. Pregnancy ruin my education? Not the baby's fault. Pregnancy by rape? Not the baby's fault. Whatever the reasoning? Not the baby's fault. I swallowed my own vomit for 4 months during my senior year of high school, hiding my pregnancy from my parents, because I knew they would make me have an abortion. I know the pain of giving a child up for adoption when you don't have the family support to do anything differently. But, I can't imagine the pain of living with killing my baby. You talk a lot about money, taxes, etc. This election, more than ever, I know that God will bless our country if we vote our conscience and let Him take care of our pocketbooks. It is not okay to compromise life and God given Biblical principles.
