According to Colorado Ski Country USA, Colorado had its second best season for skier visits this past winter.
12,535,914 skiers and snowboarders hit the slopes at 26 Colorado ski resorts in the 2007-2008 season. This was only about 30,000 less than the previous year's record. The slight decrease was the result of a slow start to winter snowfall.
The Colorado ski season lasted 245 days and that is the longest in the United States. Eight of the state’s resorts broke snowfall records.
