At 50 I transitioned by moving back from one continent to another, changing schools for my youngest child, buying a new house and changing jobs. How is that? I am still moving into a new phase as I see retirement ( in formal terms) coming toward me.

I am a Life Transitions Coach.

Hi! I am almost 50 and have found this time to be full of transitions. When I saw your list of groups, I knew this is a place for me! My three children will be on their own in a blink and I've recently entered a new job. My husband's work has changed dramatically in the last five years...lots of transition! I hope you'll take a look at my profile and click on my website. Our company is for people in the second half of life. Hope you'll take a look!

I guess there are several other groups around the subject. Post on all of them. I think this is a major concern of us. I am 62 and find my self under a rug that is slipping away, taken away by an invisible hand in the areas of job availability. I still feel strong, I have experience I can use, education, but nothing comes up. Why doesn't this culture value experience and old age? We are been overlooked by all agencies, including the SS agency.
