I agree with you, Earende.

I love the Stones, and think it's great that they're still out there touring when they don't have to, but I was a little concerned that this would get over-Scorsese'd.

I think I'm going to wait for the DVD, or perhaps leave this one alone entirely.

I love the Stones big time, and frankly, I was hoping it would be a lot more of a documentary of past performances or behind the scenes of those performances, but from some of the press I've seen just basically shows behind the scenes of the actual production. Plus performances in different cities. But that may be too much like the last documentary, which was awesome!

I think this is more Scorsese's baby than the Stones. Everyone knows that he is probably their biggest fan.

I think their in every single movie he's made--if not here's a trivia question--which movie were they NOT on the soundtrack?

Shame. Real shame.

Going to check out Stop-Loss next. Reviews were mixed. We'll see.

I haven't been to so many movies in a short period of time as I have over the past month or so. Scorcese's Shining a Light played at the Boulder Theater the other night. I was going to see it at the regular movie, but for some reason, it seemed like a better fit at the Boulder Theater. It's basically the "Bigger Bang" tour show filmed at the Beacon Theater in New York City. Seems it was a fund raiser Bill Clinton's foundation. Hillary makes a brief appearance. She doesn't strike me as a Stone's fan. I'd say she probably favored the Beatles and Paul.

I went to the Stones show at the Pepsi Center on Thanksgiving Day back in 2006. I can't believe the tix were so expensive. They were better than the ones I had for the 40-licks tour in 2003 which were behind the stage in the rafters. My Madonna seats in Madison Square Garden were like that. Usually, there's someplace to sit. But the both places were wall-to-wall. I heard Madonna is playing Denver. If you can afford the tickets, it's a great show.

I'm a relatively new Stones concert-goer. The first time for me was in 1983. There was a show at the Silver Dome in Pontiac, Michigan. One of my housemates from Gillette, Wyoming is from Wyandottte and I tracked him down there. He got tickets which were 25 bucks and we went. It was also the first time I'd seen a rat. It was the size of a small dog over by the White Castle place we went for a post-concert snack. I wonder what happended to Jim. At the time he was a school teacher. He played football for Wyoming and I'd always run into him at bowl games - a couple times in the late 80s in San Diego and maybe in Tucson for the Copper Bowl.

I just moved to Colorado and went to the Stones at Mile High Stadium in 1994. That was the Voodoo Lounge tour. Talk about an extravaganza. Outdoor shows are a lot better than ones inside. I watched the No Security Tour in 1999. It must have been one of the last shows in McNichols Sports Arena.

I'm wondering if this Bigger Bang Tour is ever going to end. It's been happening for a couple years. Scorcese's movie did the Stone's justice. There's TV and interview footage from over the years cut iamongst the songs. I'm sure I'll keep making it to the shows whenever Mick and Keith come through town.

Speaking of Keith, he's looking pretty raggedy. I can see it now. The Stones playing Caesar's Palace in Vegas. A bunch of geezers like me eating from buffet and standing in the back holding up lighters asking for "Satisfaction."
