My friends think I spend to much time outside but in the country, there's always something to see, and do that my housework gets behind and so dose everythink eles.

In the morning lately I have been watching a couple of baby foxs and how cool is that to enjoy your morning coffee with baby foxs all before you start your work day not bad I think but thats just me.

In the spring and summer, I love to take walks down our road early in the morning. We live eight miles from town on one of the back roads so there's very little traffic. After that, I toss out bird feed for the squirrels and birds to eat, and I sit and quietly watch from my back porch steps or inside at the kitchen table, maybe take some photos with my camera. If I'm lucky, I can get some laundry and other chores done before it gets too late in the day so I can conserve energy (hubby works for electric co.)

The best things about living in the country, compared to living and growing up in a large city are peacefulness, clean air and quiet, how people make you feel like part of their family and the smell when it rains. I've come to love that smell, especially when I'm digging my hands in my flower beds afterwards.

My family still loves to get in the yard for a good game of badminton whenever possible, although we use tennis rackets and a lot of birdies because it can get rather competitive, but it keeps us in shape. We love to visit the state parks like Veterans, which is our favorite, not just for beauty but also as a reminder of the part it played during the Civil War, also we like to visit the Little Grand Canyon which is a beauty to behold. Otherwise, with gas prices today and my children nearly grown, we pretty much stay home, my husband and I enjoy each other's company on our five acre plot surrounded by nature.

I think that is lovely to watch foxes. What kind are they? I watch birds and squirrels. The squirrels eat my bird seed but I figured a way to stop that.

I also live in the country. I love the country also. But I keep busy doing different things since I'm retired. I don't want to get bored.

I've had a little problem with my eyes and had to stay off the PC. But, I expect them to behave and allow me to see.

I really do not feel badly about neglecting house work because I eat what I have a taste for and clean house when my spirit moves me.

I love to take walks also. But with all the risk of walking alone I started going to the Recreation Center and working out. Watching the birds is a pleasure and there are so many different species. I have made pictures of red birds and wild flowers that turned out good. I have flower beds that take alot of my attention.We have several parks here that we frequent and when we go out of town we catch at least one. We love to go to Planetariums, too.

We are having 95 to 100 degrees here and that is abnormal. Staying inside is best until the temps become normal.

I live in the desert which limits our outdoor activities in the summer because temperatures get up to about 120 when summer is in full swing. We do have the Hualapai Mountains to go to which is nice. I see everyone saying that they are having an unusually hot summer so far. It is the opposite here, we are starting out very mild. It has only gotten over the 100 degree mark a couple of times so far this summer. It has stayed in the mid to high 90s which we are enjoying immensely. It is still getting nice and cool ( high 70s ) in the evenings too. I don't know what is going on with the weather being hot where it usually isn't and not where it usually is. Maybe it has something to do with good old global warming.

I love the spring and summer because I can get outside and take photos of nature. That's what I do to relax and have fun. I have RA so I can't do a lot at one time, but I still enjoy just being outside. I never was an "inside, housework kind of person" and now when my energy is limited, I just do what I love to do and let the rest go I'm afraid. That's how I hope to spend my summer.

When I waa healthy(still on the road to recovery)summer was for the garden,canoeing down the Delaware,night walks on the boardwalk.lots of friends poolside,outdoor concerts.I love every season except the middle of winter :)
