Friendships

Hey folks, I see we are all putting up our own states to find people from home (mea culpa). I thought this was supposed to be a group about our becoming friends no matter where we are from. Are am I mistaken?

Hi Birdie, Some folks, (mostly new ones) try to see if there are those who might be in their area. They just need to go to the "members" icon at the top, and then click on "members in my area" and that woul;d do it. We are a community of folks from all over. I am from Tennessee, and I believe that all 50 states and some foriegn country are here. It isn't about one particular state. So hope you make lots of new friends and enjoy your time here. No, I am not paid for this plug...LOL...or a staff member...just a member. Mike

I know I started a discussion just to see who was in my area.I live in a small town and I've got a chronic illness that keeps me home most of the time.So,sometimes it's nice to talk to people familiar with the area.

However,I get on discussions when I have an interest,like now.So,hey.

Nice to meet you! We are getting a few of us into the same conversation now.

So sorry that you have a problem that keeps you at home a lot. It must be really hard when it is the warmer times of the year. Unless you happen to live where it is pretty warm all the time.

Actually,I did live in Florida for 15yrs.I never liked it.

I was raised in the southern tier of NY state,so where I live in North Carolina is alot like that,with no long,drawn out winters.So I get the 4 seasons I missed.

My kids have all stayed here,at least right now and so I'm close to them and my grandkids.Now,with the new feature of the scrapbook,I can put their photos up.

I am seeking relief of different methods to help my pain.I also have a website and blog to try to give some information out to other migraineurs.It helps me to help others.

I also help my husband in his work.He works out of the house.He does webhosting,web design and consulting.
