To me it is hard for me sleep all the night though too. I have asthma and it very hard for me to sleep.

I am not sure what I can tell what to do. Other then warm shower. sleeptime tea with honey or without.

Thanks for the reply and the add! I got my new CPAP machine on Monday and I'm still having a very rough time. I still am not sleeping through the night and can't get to bed early for nothing! I think part of it is I am not as active with the COPD and fybromyalgia and maybe I'm not wore out enough to sleep. I'm going to get some hot tea and try that. Showers REVIVE ME!! So I will pass on that lol!!

Welcome! I am so glad that you found us and I hope that we are able to help you feel more comfortable with sleep apnea. I am ladybugg and I have sleep apnea along with narcolepsy.Which means, I am a very sleepy person, at very inconvenient times.lol Yes, I can laugh about it, but I have to deal with it daily.

I also have a cpap machine. They are very hard to get used to, but if you can, they are very well worth trying to get used to. If you are not sleeping well with your CPAP, keep trying...it will get easier. You may want to ask your doctor for something to help you get over the transistion period. With your fibromyalgia, you may be waking up due to pain or not getting to sleep because you ache. Weather fronts will also affect your pain as well as your COPD. Make sure that you have a comfortable mask and it fits well, also a warm humidifier used through your CPAP machine will help with dryness and toleration. Best wishes and don't ever hesitate to talk with your sleep physician, pulmonary physician or the equipment company that you recieved your CPAP machine from if you are still expericiencing problems sleeping with your CPAP unit. The most important thing is to keep trying and don't beat yourself up if you don't make it through the whole night wearing it. The hours that you do sleep with it will help you get "good sleep" so you can cope better with the days and nights that you are not sleeping well due to your other medical issues.
