Sad to report the death, at 65, of Elliott's mother, Claudette Yamin, in Richmond. Cause of death was not reported. Donations can be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation's Central Virginia chapter.

I mentioned in the first thread that he has this Michael Hutchence (missed) mystique about him.
Very very smoky essence...stage presence undeniable.
So comfortable in his own skin. I think he'll be in the finals, easy. But I am prejudiced when it comes to him. lol!
With Ramiele, I'm shocked that she's not as good as she was in the auditions. Great powerful voice-but she doesn't know what to do with it. Same with Syesha. Very disappointed...but Carly makes up for the both of them!!!!

I may be in the minority but David A. just isn't doing anything for me anymore. He seemed to do amazing in the audtion and Hollywood rounds but since then to me he has not blown me away. Oh I guess except for that one Beatle song he did, the first one. Last night for me he was just 'ight.
David Cook to me has grown the most and I am hoping he makes it to the end. did great for me last night.
Brook is probably my favorite, just something about her voice I really like. Last night was good, not great.
Ramiele - Why is she still here? I haven't liked her for a while now.
Jason - he seems to sing the same each week, I would love to see him rock it out some night. he did ok for me last night.
Carly - I thought she did great last night. I also really enjoyed what she had on, what was Simon thinking.
Kristy Lee - She should have gone home a while ago. Last night she was ok cause it was country music. she may squeek by again.
Syesha - Song was too big for her
Michael - He did well, just not one of my fav's.
bottom 3 guess - Kristy Lee, Ramiele, Jason. Ramiele goes home.

And your not alone with your comments on David A. He's o.k. to me. I don't think he'll win it all. But I've been wrong before.
I'm not that crazy about David C. but he really makes this a competition big time. (see new posting in regarding him-hope things are ok)
I love Carly. She's my favorite female. I was rooting for Syesha in the beginning, but it's weird that I'm not feeling her anymore lately. I was disappointed with her performance of the song. Started out good, then went straight to hell from there.
I pretty much agree with you who may be in the bottom-but add Shyesha too just to play the odds!

Here's an article I just ran across on TMZ.com
"A.I" contestant David Cook was rushed to the hospital tonight after experiencing heart palpitations and high blood pressure, and released a few hours later. His condition is still not resolved.
As first reported, Cook was not feeling well during the day and his condition worsened after his performance. Cook was examined by show medics who determined his blood pressure was "far too high." Cook was urged to leave for the hospital during the show, but he wanted to wait it out.
After the show, Cook was driven to the hospital (not by ambulance) and treated by a private doctor to keep everything on the down low. The doctor gave Cook medication to bring his blood pressure down and he will monitored again Tuesday.
They had mentioned that his brother is ill with cancer.
Hope their both ok.

My favorite two singers are Carly and David A. I really like Brooke, David C & Michael too. I couldn't help myself last night; I voted for all five of them. I love Jason's eyes & hate to see him go, but I agree he and Ramiele will probably be in the bottom two tonight.

Will he be there tonight?
I read the article and they said he had high blood pressure and his heart was racing.
No ambulance, just drove there after the show.
Come to think about it, he looked a little shaky at the end of the program.
Hope he doesn't leave the show, but would understand if he had too.
P.S. His hair looks better. Thank God! He had to do something with that. Really.

I didn't have a problem with Ramiele going home tonight. I really think it's Kristy Lee's time, I don't know how she's made it through so long. Does anyone know how many times she's been in the bottom 2? Sometimes I really wonder if the third part of the bottom 3 is really the 3 least vote getter or if the producers like to throw a favorite in there for some suspense. Just a thought ;)

Okay, high blood pressure aside, can we talk about David Cook's new haircut for a sec?! Did that just brighten his face right up or what? that weird comb-over thing before was really distracting. I'm really hoping he makes it to the finals.
I totally agreed with Rush24's review (except Michael... I love him!). I don't understand at all why David A is called "The Voice" because he doesn't sound that great to me. Close your eyes next time and try to imagine you're in the car with him coming through the radio... I'd turn the channel. With the exception of his "Imagine" performance, I just don't get it.
Still totally love Brooke, but thought she shouldn't be smiling while singing "Jolene". That killed the performance for me. The lyrics of that song are so passionate and desperate and she's smiling. She looked like a lunatic.
And finally... Jason Castro. Sigh. I had such high hopes for him. Now he's like a cartoon character. It's like he's singing the same exact song every single week. He's the "Groundhogs Day" of AI.
Okay one last thing: Glad Ramiele is gone. She actually has some talent but zero stage presence. And her bangs were killing me! I just wanted to send her a hair clip.

Zen and Max have this thing with David C.'s "comb-forward" as they called it! But you are right. It looks so much better. No doubt he'll make the finals or there is no justice in this world.
Something about Brooke, and I've said this before, is kind of creepy to me. Cybil comes to mind (Sissy Spacek). From that Here Comes the Sun robotic performance (her arms...just plain weird) to Jolene.
Jason does have this this with his face...like Tweety bird or a smiling pumpkin...I can't watch him now. He was so great in the final 24 performances. But since he hit the stage at final 12, it's like he's going through the motions. Not all there.
Ramiele always stood still when she sang. No walking, strolling nothing. Guess she figured she would walk away with the teen-boys vote.
And Michael <sigh>. What can you say? I love him too!
