Hey, 9 more classes and I'll have finally finished my B.A.!

I started back to school the year I turned 40. The beginning of that calendar year I swore I would a) buy a house, b) get pregnant, and c) go back to school. Two out of three ain't bad! Besides, NOW is a better time to buy a house ;-)

I've already decided that I'm going to pursue a Master's program as well, once I finish my B.A. I completely buy into the adage that we must continue to "upgrade" our minds or our employers will upgrade our positions!

KUDOS to all those who are back in school, and "git going" to those who are second-guessing it.

Congratulations! It's a wonderful idea to then go for your Masters. But, why stop there? I didn't. I persued my Doctorate, part time, at about age 45. I was the youngest in the class of about a dozen, mainly women. Some were in their 70s.

Right on! I'm in about the same place, about 11 classes left.

I just had to answer.....................

So many of my friends (older) in college said that they were not going to walk or it was no big deal, etc.....

They often regretted it later. There is but one chance at walking and that is in the moment when you earn the degree. I walked for my Associate's, I walked for my Bachelor's and I will walk for my Master's, PhD........

I walk "today" for this degree because their is no guarantee that I will live to walk for the next degree.

Buy the photo too.............looking back years from now, or when the grandkids rifle through your belongings later...........it will make everyone smile.

Congrats!!!!

I have been in school off and on since 1990. Now since turning 40 I've also gone to get that B.S. I have 2 yrs left.

I am also buying a house this fall. And just separated from my significant - So I guess 40 is the time for change...
