Great job! I went back to college when I turned 35 and I enjoyed it tremendously! I wish I could be in school forever! :) Keep it up and enjoy every minute of it. I'm hoping that I could return in a few years to do my Masters. My problem now is I don't know what to do - career wise...

Although I had taken evening courses before, I went back to school full time at 37 to get a PhD. It was different from my last life (DoD analyst) but I can say it was a good time. Biggest problems was faculty members and fellow students who did not know how to deal with some one who spoke about policy making in the first person. I was also older then some of the younger faculty which was an issue for those who were insecure.

Now that I am teaching, I have had a number of students who came back to school.

Good for you! I went to college (not back -- the first time) in my late 40's, too. I have one semester left to go for my B.A. in Art History. I plan to continue on to grad school. I'm loving it - and I agree with you - I'm having the best time of my life. Great to see somebody else like me!

Thanks for sharing! Very inspirational that you forged ahead mid-life in order to learn and grow...I've been taking classes in English Lit but felt I was too old to really consider a degree. Are those your works you posted? Very cool - great work!

I went back to school(part-time) to earn my first degree(Associates Degree) at 40. I finished my first two semester and I love it. I can't wait for the fall semester to begin again. After my Associates Degree I plan on pursuing my Bachelors also.

Well, it is said that one should pursue one's passion. In other words, what is the one subject in life that you have studied, about which you can smile and remember with joy.
