It's never too late to further one's education and it doesn't necessarily have to happen in a classroom. I have a bachelor of science degree from Washington State University in the department of Animal Sciences with an Equine Science and Management option. I also have a double minor in Animal Nutrition and Animal Physiology. My career revolves around horses and one NEVER stops learning about them. My classrooms are a barn, an arena, grandstands at clinics and horse events. Even when I visit my favorite tack shop, I learn something every time I go. Education is everywhere! For those who are wondering if it's too late to go back to school after 40, DO IT! My sister is a prime example of what one can accomplish. Not only did she go back to school and get her four year degree, but she went on to get her masters and then doctorate. She is now a professor and grant writer for a local college and gets to travel the world and she accomplished this in her 40's. It's never too late!
