Aaargh! Too late this year!

I made my decision for respiratory care too late to get into a program for this year. It so frustrating that i finally decided what I want to be when I grow up (LOL) but now have to wait until next fall. For some reason the programs only intake in the fall here.

I am trying to get hold of the director of the program to find out; if I take some of the courses on my own, will they will be applicable when I join up or will have to take them again. Sigh. No response yet. This college is not very responsive. They aren't my first choice either but I can't afford the other school.

I have to DO something! I can't just sit around here for another year not doing anything toward my future. Sigh.

Frustrated!

Are there any other classes you can take that might help you out in the future while you wait?

I wrote to the head of the department to find out. I am waiting. They aren't very responsive there.

Meantime I will take my COMPASS and see where I stand and where I have to brush up- probably math.......have to meet my prerequisite scoring level.

I am also looking in to the only on-line accredited school in the country. But I am not sure if hospitals take an on-line degree as seriously. I would have to do on-site clinicals but the rest of the study would be onl-ine.
