It's funny you say that.....I did tell co-workers that I was going back to school, and I was surprised when a co-worker asked "do you really think it's worth it?" Sometimes I wonder if people even have goals? Finishing this one thing (my RN license) has been a goal since high school. I can only imagine how wonderful it will feel to have it completed.

I finished my degree in Biology at the age of 50, took me 25 years. I then signed up for a Master program in Software Engineering. I love going to school, my family is very supportive and realizes that I need time to read and do homework etc. And my diploma in Biology hangs proudly on the wall also. So to all who thinks it's impossible it's not. I have had friends ask me if it's worth it too. It's a personal mission, it may result in a better job, may not. I meet some nice people, get out of the house which is a good thing for a reclusive person. As far as the money goes, I get by on my salary and supplement with college loans. I figure people are doing far more frivilous things with their money than furthering their education so I am or will be better off. My daughter is a sophomore in college and my wife also 50 is working on her AA degree at the local community college, so it's a family thing. Good luck
