I filed my FAFSA!

wow

I actually took the next step and filed my FAFSA

I had used the FAFSA4caster site and according to it I should be eligible to have my education completely (or almost completely) financed btwn Stafford, Pell, Perkins and the FSEOG

of course how I actually claim/get this money is still somewhat of a mystery to me...

esp since I am still not enrolled in a program because I can't afford the application fees!

to apply to schools?

it costs anywhere from $30 up to apply to any of the schools I have looked at!

most are $35, and the online one is $50! and that is just the application!

You are right about that. I enrolled in school in May of 2006 and they waived my admission fee. It was 45.00. I just found that tonight when I was digging for my sons fasfa pin..Can you see if they will waive the fee?

one of my schools waived the fee because I filed a "pre-application"...I just submitted the full online version tonight and it was all questions geared at high school students UGH!

I guess it never hurts to ask, huh?

Oh I know. How crazy is that. They should have a separate one just for grown up students..hahaha..
