When I was a kid my family moved to Florida for 3 years because of my Dads job transfer.I met a few kids and when we camped out they told me the story of the Skunk Ape. It sounded amazing to me at the time! As I grew older I learned of the Yeti ,Big Foot and others like them. I found that they were all stories quite like the Skunk Ape. I suppose the Skunk Ape was just this particular part of south Floridas version of basically the same creature.
