You know that some people just like to be real shit starters, and keep a lot of shit going on in the work place, and outside of the workplace that could be his or her personately Sorry for the language but like my mother always told us keep you friends close and your enemy's closer, not saying that your boss is an enemy of yours but Now you know that your boss is very sneaky, thats a good thing, and that will kidda keep you on your toes when you have to either deal with them and do your job, your not at work to make friends,but having workplace friends tend to make the workplace a easier and happier enviroment, to know that your all on the same team and be a team player but then you have to realize that your there to do your job, and anyway most bosses are sneaky anyway :) but if it starts to bug at you too much than ask them why, You cant get the boot from asking a question can you?

Why don't you ask your boss instead of asking us? Perhaps there is a very valid reason that you couldn't possibly know unless you asked.

Never assume that it is a reflection on you. You may be important to you but the boss has her own agenda and perhaps it is none of your business.

You have the job. Don't get paranoid. Maybe the boss didn't want you to have to spend your weekend working because there is enough for you to do during the week.

How do you know the boss told her not to tell you? You have that only as second hand information. Maybe this person is trying to stir up trouble because as you said - you replaced her!

Bosses are just that.

Most of them are promoted to their next level of incompetence.

They have very little thought process and often times they feel inadequate.

I too think that the best way to handle this is to confront him directly.

"Sorry sir/..., I am a little confused about my role(s) here. Could you please clarify for me..." His answer may very well define who he really is.

.They may be friends,plain and simple.
