At a private time when there are no distractions tell her calmly and clearly that you will not be yelled at. If she has a bone to pick with you it must be in private. The next time she yells you walk out of the room, out of the house if possible. When you return you can ask her calmly if she has anything to discuss with you adult to adult. Train her as you would a child that this behavior is unacceptable and what the consequences are.

If this doesn't work I recommend marriage counseling concentrating on communication skills.

I totally agree with Isadora. Public scenes where your wife yells at you in front of others are simply unacceptable. Adults pick their bones in private. I endorse Isadora's program.

As usual, Isadora gives great advice. You are not one of her kids (although I'm not a big advocate of yelling at kids in public either) and if she wants to have an adult relationship with you, she must learn to treat you like an adult. A heart to heart talk is definitely in order. Try not to be too blaming (although I'm sure you're feeling angry). Try to tell her what you would want to see and how you'd like it to go in the future rather than blaming her for this incident. It might be easier for her to hear that way.
