Has he ever said what was wrong with the bad marriage. Sex maybe?

Try telling him you dont want to get married! Straight up! See if he calms down. Meet the family and see if they are stable rooted people. If so then he is probably dealing with past insecurities. You travel everywhere together but no sex? Guys have sex nearly everyday. If he isnt having sex at all something bad is wrong. Otherwise he is having some kind of sex. You seem readilly prepared to run yourself. Maybe the problem is you? Bad relationship? Neither one of you is ready for a steady relationship. You both need sex. If sex doesnt happen whats left? Just figure out whats right for your future and dont look back. Nothing attracts a man more than a woman with confidence.

It sounds like your relationship is progressing faster than the amount of emotional and physical intimacy can support. If it were me, I would do the equivalent of "Stop, time for a reality check." I would try to engage my partner to clear up the marriage and sex issues, and if I felt that I had a lot invested in the relationship, I would bring in a professional to help with the communication. In any case, if the answers were not to my liking, I would break it off.

Free, you don't define crazy, so it is hard to imagine how is he actually reacting. If crazy means that you don't feel physically safe, then run as fast as you can from this guy.

If crazy just means that he's not his usual warm, fuzzy self, then maybe a serious conversation is in order. And NOT when your touching or kissing. Sit across from a table and have a serious conversation. Tell him how much you care for him and how much you are interested in continuing this relationship AND how confused you are.

Be clear about what you want to see be different in the relationship. Ask for it and then Listen to what he has to say.

Once you have that information, you can decide whether to go or stay. Without concrete information from him, we're all just guessing and I'd hate to make life decisions by guessing.

I second Talia. Tell him you're flattered that he's talking marriage, but that you couldn't feel comfortable in a longterm relationship, let alone a marriage, unless you get your sexual needs met. Then ask him how he feels about sex in general, about sex with you specifically, about any problems/issues he's had with sex in the past. It's possible that he's one of those guys who just isn't all that interested in sex. This is more common than most women think. If so, then you have a decision to make. It's also possible that he's into sex, but has had some bad experiences that make him sexually shy. If so, ask him about them, discuss them, reassure him, and if necessary, see a counselor of sex therapist. Then decide if you can live with who he is sexually over the long haul.

Beyond the sexual issue, there's there "craziness" issue. But you did not reveals any specifics about what happens when "he gets crazy." For TBDers to comment constructively, we'd need to know more.
