Is it a normal thing for a man in his 40s to be afraid of calling a girl, who he obviously enjoys talking to one on one, but, doesn't want to talk at any other time other than when we are at work. We have gotten together outside of work, went to movies...etc. Yes, there has been intimacy and we are both in other relationships.
We understand the lines of the relationship. He says he loves me...?? Doesn't that cross the line..?? He claims he has never felt like this around anyone else..?? He tells me I'm too young...I'm 37.. to understand this love thing. That it is too hard for him to talk to me or get together because he'll just want more???
So, with that being said... shouldn't the relationship end? I thot ending the relationship, was what was going on, yet, he claims that wasn't what he wanted. That's when the love thing was thrown at me, this was 5 months into the relationship. He'd hinted around how he felt prior to this, but it was still 4 months into it.
I guess what I'm confused about is; how you can say you love someone but not want to talk or be with them because you'll just want more...?? But, you don't want the relationship to end....is this possible....?? If someone could please explain this to me. Should I back off of it, I really enjoy his company...and it isn't about intimacy. He's a wonderful man, the part that he has shown me.
