Welcome Mona, sorry you didn't get more response. Your previous post was in this, the welcome lounge, looking for people from Orange County. So it's just seen by newcomers (only a small percent from your area) and a smattering of longtime members who like to welcome the newcomers. Better to post in groups that interest you, and to search for members who live near you. Good luck. Your profile is very interesting, I am sure you will get lots of responses.

Welcome to TBD! I too have heard crickets a few times myself...don't let it get you down. Things have been unusually quiet around here for a few days. It'll pick up.

Let me say "Welcome", and suggest that you browse the groups to find one that interests you. Once you do that, you will find you get plenty of conversation.

Hi Mona & welcome to this sometimes wacky, but wonderful world. I sometimes wish I had started here in the Welcome Lounge to get my feet wet - but instead found a topic being discussed and jumped in - that was the end of March & I'm still trying to get my own stuff done in between my time here at tbd - not complaining, just expressing it's an amazing site full of a wide variety of topics and members.

Can I have those "cooties"? I hear them critters are some good eating if you get enough of them...got the ole iron skillet all ready for cooking...yum yum...are them northern "cooties" or southern "cooties" ? Them northern ones are a bit different.
