Right now, I'm asking myself why I'm awake at 4 a.m.

I 'm not 40 yet so I'm not sure but I'll soon find out.

Well, I'll bite. I think a good question anyone can ask themselves, whether they are old or young, is what you're about to say ~True~kind~necessary~? That is my intention, but of course, I sometime speak before I think, as we all do. The world would be a better place if we all thought before we spoke.

I just retired from AT&T. WEll I say retired which I did with over 30 years but they were actaully closing about 30 odd offices and I would have had to move over 100 miles away to keep my job. My question right now after looking is "will I ever find another job"? The market is crazy and not too much there. I am taking a little time off go enough money for that but at 56 too young to retire and live off what I have.

Also my other big question is "Do these jeans make my butt look big?" but that is for another day. :-)

I am constantly asking myself "how will I make a difference with the time I have left?" Once I crested 50, I became acutely aware of the finiteness of my existence in this form. My kids are grown, I have a really good job but it isn't one that seems to fulfill me, and I have a passion that I can't seem to reconnect with (psychology).

So, I am not very pleased with the answers coming from within or without, but I ask myself every day, and believe I will find a way to answer the question.

My husband retired from GTE ( Calif ) 16 years ago , with 30 years in. He was way to young not to continue working , and hanging around the house would have caused his very early death, if you get my drift. He decided to do something he'd always wanted to do. He became a truck driver. Of course the pay sucked, but he got to travel and have the thrill of handling the big rigs. He throughly enjoyed the experience. It wasn't my dream, but it was his and I was happy he was able to persue it. He did this for 2 years, but finally realized that he needed to use the talents he had in a position that would enable us to continue with a comfortable life style. ( you know, the luxuries of Mortgage payment, truck payments, food, utilities,ect ) He has gone back to telecommunications and will retire again in 2 years. If one is able to persue a dream, they should. Even if it's driving a big rig.

I understand my mom more,wish she was here to tell her that.

You never stop being a parent.

There are times when I want to go to a nice hotel,hot tub,tv,balcony,room service.Have no cares for awhile.Not to have to take care of anyone.

They have tanning beds,stupid idea,why not a place for people without children with them to go for an 45min and sit in a hot tub.Hot tubs at gyms or fitness centers are too bright.Rent by the hour.

Revamp out society to get the relevance back into the society of people 40 and over

Why do women suppose to be my age in shows are really the same age as my oldest daughter?Why do women who are suppose to be mom's of teens the same age as my middle daughter.

Why do men get victoria secret women to look at,we get the Hardees guy who is a slob and can't even open a bag of cereal?

Why do ed commercials come on before 9pm.

Why is there a pill for everything,but each one advertised seem to have 50 side effects,like possible death.

Why are there so many pharmacies?Are we that sick of a county?

Who is going to hold up the country when the middle class is gone,which should be by the end of the summer?
