Worst advice, Keep your pants on. (my dad)

Not from my dad,but other well intentioned folks: "keep it in your pants".....was lousy advice, Thinking back to all those times I shoulda,coulda,woulda..!!!

Worst advice, "No sex till marriage"...what were they thinking? Bad advice then, bad advice now.

My old fashioned Chinese mother said not to go out with Caucasian girls...(hmmmm maybe it wasn't an advice)

Counselor at my high school, junior year: "You come from a divorced family and a poor family. The best you can expect from your life is to finish high school, get married and have a lot of kids. Although, the chances of you not being divorced within 5 years is statistically high." (serious)

2. I have only one child, a daughter, who is a cryptologic linguist in the US Air Force, and will be working on her law degree when she finishes her bachelor's degree in Hebrew Studies.

3. I have a BSN (nursing, RN), an MSN (teaching), a doctorate (forensics/nursing), and am a certified Legal Nurse Consultant.

I keep thinking that the counselor was using reverse psychology, only because I just can't believe a professional would have said that to another human being.
