I'll chime in on this soon, but am really quite interested to see where this topic leads.

I would change the "Hate" It is overcoming the world, not only with Wars, but with personal relationships and the lack thereof because "Love thy neighbor" is being replaced with "Hate or be hated."
If I could change one thing in the world, it would be to turn off that bright light that keeps waking me up every morning and keeps blinding me as I drive to and from work. Annoying sun...
Buy a parka. It'll be cold where you're headed. :-)
All too true. Especially here in the states. We are very spoiled and take waaaay too much for granted. The shear fact alone that we live at a standard which is above 80% of the world's population, should give us a reason to look out and be thankful.

Part of me thinks it should be mandatory for every citizen born in the United States to travel to a third world country for at least two weeks to get a proper sense of perspective. The other part of me, however, has seen how a large number of United States citizens act when traveling overseas. The repeated observances of poor demeanor and sheer arrogance makes it no wonder to me why the United States is so disliked in many parts of the world. I really don't blame them.
As a Christian, I know that I can't change the world, but I can change the life of one person, at a time, through the strength and power of Jesus Christ. I've made positive, and lasting impact on many lives over the past years, through my "giving of self" to others. If one's not self-centred, and willing to put others before self, that's where change really takes place. To me, that's the key to an, ultimate, move toward changing the world.
Completely agreed. I have seen many instances of U.S. citizens traveling out abroad with the self indulged mission of telling the world how the cow ate the cabbage. We - as a society - are often so self absorbed we never actually take time to really focus on real issues and or solutions.
Again, we are a society of fat spoiled babies. i agree. EVERYONE SHOULD SPEND AT LEAST TWO WEEKS IN A THIRD WORLD SETTING (not their hotels either).
