I was born in 1960 and refer to myself as a "late" boomer. All of my siblings are currently in their mid to late 50s, and definitely were flower children of the sixties. This influenced me greatly.

Most of my friends are also boomers, but they tend to be the eldest child in their families and don't really feel connected to the turbulent and wonderful sixties. They identify more with the 1970s fallout from the sixties as well as the trends of the last half of that decade: disco, etc.

I feel connected to both decades, but have had difficulty finding people whose experience is similar to mine, and who appreciate both decades like I do. I would love to meet others who have similar feelings.
