If you just met the guy spending two weeks as his house guest sounds like way too much too soon. I'd get to know him by spending some more time on the usual kind of dates before you make a decision to be with him for two weeks straight.

Also, it's not clear if you expect his mother to be there too. If so, I'd meet her first too before spending all that time there.

To me it sounds like you have known this guy for two weeks. He wants you to meet his mother. No do not go. Have him bring his mother to the area where you live and the three of you go to dinner at a restaurant near your home. You could also bring one of your family or a friend of yours along. If he won't do this take one of your family or one of your friends along to Long Island. Don't go alone. If he won't do any of this than be very careful. Do not go alone.
