My friend an I watched this program with a bunch of guys who work for Roto Rooter in the day and at night go to buildings that are supposedly haunted. They use all of the equipment the new millennium has to offer and also use infra red. It usually shows the room as cold and spots that are colder than other things that are right next to it. But I agree with you. We will find some form of light wavelength that will sniff em out!!!

To concentrate infra-red light the term infra changes to ultra (red) and this will hurt humans if caught in it.. I'd hate to piss off any afterlife by experimenting and/or hurting them in any way. if the shows name comes to me I'll tell ya or contact Joy Sterling, (a Member) from Bowling Green, Ohio. I used to watch it with her. She was a huge fan of theirs but it stopped coming on for some odd reason!!!

No....I'm not that smart, but I did a search on that term and there are endless web-sites with tons of information about Spectroscopy.

Of course, it would help if you could understand what they are saying. So perhaps someone who knows about it could help too. Any volunteers?

What a grand response!!! Thank you, all of you, for such wonderful advice and support. I have never worked in infrared spectroscopy personally, but I find the entire realm of this very intriguing.

Perhaps I should wait a bit before placing a call to your friend, Tim, but I will certainly keep it in mind...when I know a bit more of the matter I would be thrilled to meet your friend...thank you so much.

I want to learn it mainly because of the way infrared lets one "see," what cannot be seen with the eye itself. We are very dense creatures with limited abilities to perceive sound and sight...this is why animals can pick up on more things than us.

The paranormal group is called T.A.P.S. (The Atlantic Paranormal Society), the show is Ghost Hunters. It airs on SciFi and has new episodes on Wednesday evenings. I think it's a summer series.

I love those guys, but I've already warned my husband, if I die while the show is still on, I'm going to spend several months following that team around to investigations goosing Jay until he declares, "OK, I'm haunted!" lol
