What behaviors in people, that you encounter in your daily life, frighten you? How do you deal with that fear? Do you ever feel anger fueling your fear, or vice versa?
One behavior that can frighten me is verbal abuse. Sometimes I react with anger. Either way, I am reacting to something I perceive as a threat. And the instinctive reaction that sets in is the age old one of 'flight or flight". How can we get beyond 'fight or flight' to a more enlightened response? Can we?
I read once that we have 2 emotions at the base of all the other ones: love and fear. All the rest arise from those. What do you think?
