Hi Sasha and welcome to the group!!

I was born and raised in Southern Calif too(LA/Orange County). Moved to the Vancouver, Washington area 10 months ago. It's taking some getting used to, especially the weather, but it sure is beautiful.

Hi Sasha and Welcome to Southwest Washington! I'm a new member of this group as well. I was born here and have lived here (Vancouver) all of my life with the exception of the time I spent in the service: in Santa Anna, CA (3 years) and a year in Vietnam. This really is a nice place to be, and a nice place to be from.

Where are good places to hear music in Washington's southwest? Casinos? Clubs? Festivals? And what's up with Battle Ground?

Hi Sasha, I'm from CA too. I lived in Grass Valley and Nevada City, CA (in the Sierra Nevadas between Sac and Reno) until a few years back when I moved up here. Like you, I am rural and can relate to the challenge of making friends. Nice to meet you!

I'm sorry it took me so long to get back to your comments. I've been busy enjoying the sunshine. :) I don't know of any good places to go here for music. I am generally listen to many different kinds of music. There are certain types of country music that I don't like and I usually stay clear of rap, hiphop and R&B. But anything else, I'll give a try. One of my favorite singers, Neko Case, is going to be in Seattle in August but at a music festival but I would prefer to see her perform in a different venue. That's about all I can say for now. :)
