I don't recall actually SEEING a ghost that I knew was a ghost. Well, on one occasion I saw my father-in-law riding a bicycle on the other side of the street 6 months after he had died. He looked at me and gave me a great big smile.
I have felt ghosts. On my way home from a remedial English class that was held at the student dormitory, I felt a hand on my shoulder pressing down. I turned around, thinking it was one of the students who wanted a ride into town and found there was no one there. Later I discovered that a taxi driver of my acquaintance had been killed at the same spot on the road where I felt the hand. One of the older people in the neighborhood said the deceased was probably just saying hello to me.
We lived in a new building that had just been completed on empty land. After a few months, one of the people on the 2nd floor died of a stroke - suddenly - no illness, etc. One week later, one of the people who cleaned the building dropped dead of a stroke - again no past history. One week later and person playing mahjong on the 3rd floor also died - in mid play - of a stroke. We, the tenants, got up in arms and had the owner sent for a Priest (I must say here this is in Japan and it was a Shinto Priest) to cleanse the land. This is usually done before any building or rebuilding is done, but the owner wanted to save a little money. After the cleansing, nothing untoward happened and has not to this day, as far as I know. On checking the history of this particular piece of land, it was discovered that it was, in fact, the execution ground during the Edo era in Japan; site of beheadings and crucifictions. It is believed these poor souls still were around the area.
When I was stlll in the States, I often attended Florence Becker's church in San Francisco and later became acquainted with Dr.
Richard Ireland of Phoenix. (Now you will start to be able to guess my age, I am afraid.) The books dictated by Jane Roberts about the Seth readings have also been of interest to me.
Well, you must be getting tired of reading this by now, so I will stop. Can't promise to visit this site every day, but will try to.
OH, yes, about the cold breeze on a summer evening being the spirit of a departed soul - I heard this from my mother who heard it from her grandmother - a Norwegian lady. And, yes, I have felt those breezes.
