I 'sense' them, not really see them. My husband copes with it for the most part. lol

Hehe, I know exactly how you feel.

I have a funny for you.

My father and I weren't on speaking terms. A few years later, I sensed him in my home. I still didn't want to talk to him, so I ignored him. The light in my office started blinking off and on, and I could sense him getting aggravated at me.

I got angry that he was messing with the light and I could sense him more or less yelling at me, so I yelled back.

"Leave the damn light alone, I don't feel like talking to you right now!"

My husband came into the room, looking around for whoever it might be that was in trouble with me this time. When I told him it was my dad, and what he was doing, he just nodded.

"OK, well, there isn't much I can do to help here, so I'll just go back in here."

I saw a ghost when I was 12. My mom and I had just moved into a new house, we moved a lot when I was a kid. My mom had sent me down the street to the store to get some milk for dinner. I was walking back home, it was just starting to get dark out. I saw a light on in the upstairs bedroom window and I saw a lady, heavy-set, gray hair wearing a blue dress reaching up to get something from the top of a wardrobe that was next to the window. I saw her clearly as we had not put curtains on that window yet. I got in the house brought the milk to the kitchen and asked my mom who was upstairs. She said, there's no one upstairs. I told her that I definitely had seen a lady in the window. She said she was the only one there, we both went upstairs and checked out both the bedrooms up there and there was no one there. My mom said I must have imagined it or it was a trick of light or something. I know what I saw though, I still remember what she looked like. There were other incidents that happened while we lived there that I will tell you about later, i'm not used to typing this much and my hands are tired!

That's interesting. My family moved around 21/22 times in a span of 10 years.

We just moved into a new house. This house is in a new subdivision that used to be pasture. I haven't sensed as many entities as in the previous 2 houses.

The previous house was a double-wide trailer that sits right close to a stream. The area where the trailer sits was a site for battles between settlers and indians (Utes IIRC). I used to see indians and settlers all of the time, right in the living room. The appearances were non stop and many. My wife can't see them, so I had to point them out where they were standing.

The house before that, had an old man that kept walking around in the basement. The kids did not like staying in the basement, unfortunately for them their bedrooms were in there. There was another entity in that house that liked to look over my shoulder. It was a busy place. I knew that a person had died in the house. That whole area was built as housing for a company. The houses were built in the 1940s.

I have many other stories, both pleasant and unpleasant.

I know the feeling of not wanting to stay in your room. My room was upstairs, where I saw the lady. I was terrified to stay in there. I slept downstairs on the sofa bed for a long time until finally I just said well, this is my room and i'm not going to be afraid anymore. I started forcing myself to sleep in there no matter how scared I was, I wouldn't leave. Eventually, I wasn't scared anymore. I guess I pretty much said well, I know you are here but i'm here too so move over we're going to share! I would love to hear your other stories, I am enthralled by ghost stories, especially true ones, can't get enough of them!

The night my mother died I was at the ocean. She’d been in a nursing home several years. For some time she hadn’t known who I was. Her last few months were hideous. The day she lapsed into a coma, I knew she was dying, there was nothing I could do - so sadly I drove to the beach with a friend, hoping to find some comfort. We were sitting on the sand entranced by the calm starry sky, the sound of crashing waves, delicious salt air, when suddenly a little light came bouncing down the beach. At first we assumed it was a jogger with a flashlight, but as it drew near we realized it was skipping along top the waves, far too close to shore to be any sort of boat or sea-craft. The little light silently passed by then leaped out of sight into the darkness. Immediately I called the nursing home – they told me mother had just died. There’s never been a doubt in my mind that little light was mother saying goodbye. As it disappeared into the night it seemed as if I heard a little voice squeel... “Wheeee”. All those years trapped in her old body it must have been a wonderful relief to be free.
