It has often been said that if you place someone with Bipolar Illness on medication, their creativity suffers. Personally, I have failed to see this in my own life. It was not until I was stabilized and on medications that my artistic side truly began to take hold and flourish. The main reason? The ability to stay on task. Before that, I would be creative up to a point, but I would not be able to sustain that level long enough to bring it to fruition.
I welcome any weigh-in on the matter.
