Exactly! I need to do more. Our condo community doesn't even have a re-cycle program! I am trying to do more eco-conscious things, even in small ways, and I'm open for any suggestions. Yes, I have changed the light bulbs, unplugged the things that aren't in use, etc. I need to do more.

Starting as re-cycling program is the best place to start. Keep pushing for it. I think most people don't want to recycle because they are just lazy...it takes too much effort to have to sort their trash. I've been doing that for years and my kids used to snicker about it but now they do it also. Moving out here and starting my house has REALLY been quite a change. I try to not use anything that needs to be plugged in...even an alarm clock. I use the wind up kind. There are some things that are necessary such as internet and computer as I work at home on the computer but I use solar panels for that. A lot of times I won't even have coffee in the morning because it involves starting up the generator. I don't use the microwave anymore which..damn, its killing me but I'm adjusting. I don't have cable TV anymore. I just walk out my front door and the awesome beauty of nature is worth it. It just starts with one person....and now there are both of us. Soon other people will be interested and do what they can do. Don't give up.
