When did Bowie stop being glam and start being New Wave? I became a fan when I saw the Ziggy farewell tour film--a young teenaged small town boy, I'd never seen anything like it before. It didn't get any more Glam than that. But really, I liked the album "Low" the best, though it was out nearly ten years before I truly discovered it. It's my favorite lower-the-shades, put-the-kettle-on, smoke-if-ya-got-em and brood record. But it was always a catharsis. "Sound and Vision" invariably would turn my head back around, and by the end of the record I was ready to get up and work. Such a gift!
