It doesn't matter which side of the political fence you sit on . . . or if you actually sit ON the fence as far as politics are concerned. In 1st Timothy we are told to pray for those in authority:
1 Timothy 2:1-3 (New International Version)
1 I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone— 2 for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. 3 This is good, and pleases God our Savior
As we head into this election cycle, I would like to start a thread for all who wish to post prayers for our current elected officials, our elections, and for those that will lead the country in the coming years.
I don't want this to become a political debate, after all, it doesn't matter what OUR will is, we want the will of the Lord to be done.
