I rented an interesting film called De Grønne slagtere. You can probably guess that this is from Denmark and unless you’re a huge fan of Danish cinema, you won’t know any of the players in it.
It is a comedy (on the dark side) and the story is not a new one similar to the themes of Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street and Eating Raoul.
It was fun and had some laughs, although I never rolled on the floor laughing, it was well worth the four dollar rental fee that I paid to see it.
If you can find it a your local video store (filed under Foreign---unless the guys who restock your shelves are like mine, and then there’s no telling what in will be filed under) give it a shot. I’d like to hear what you think.
And if anyone can figure out the last scene…I’d appreciate some clarification.
Out of a gazillion stars…I’ll give this one a couple of million.
