I forgot to mention the fee for a subscription to the Film Movement is $ 15.00 per month, which is why I thought it was a little extravagant.

wow, I just went to the site to check it out. it's a really cool concept. and if you think about it, $15 is less than what you'd spend if you had to go to the movies, pay for parking, get popcorn (for us in SF the total is about $50 for two people). I might check it out... especially since you get to keep the film.

will ask around with my friends to see if they've heard of it.

I'm very tempted, but it would be so cool if it was about six dollars and you could just rent.

I just might try it, I've never seen a club like that anywhere. One that caters to people with new and unusual film interests. The shelves in the stores are so limited!!

I know, they should have done some research on their price point. I'd totally join if it was $6.

Film movement is great if you're into festival-style films. imo it's not at all steep for a film club... it's the price of a dvd a month... and you get to keep the DVDs.
