Welcome
I am so glad you joined in support of our Troops. Welcome
Yet another on-boarding newbie here...
Glad to have found here a "home" for we Vietnam vets, plus all other men and women who've worn, served and still wear the uniform and serve this country so bravely and proudly.
Moments ago (but haven't had that 9th quintessential shot of espresso yet, so don't recall where), I saw Diane's retort to a post from another newbie, Sasha, who found taking a swipe at all who make it possible for her to sleep in peace at night, in a warm, comfy bed, with liberty and justice for all intact on the wall and down the hall, somehow too tempting to temper by failing to leave that ridiculous, anachronistic, peacenik's totem-toting sign of hypocrisy at the door.
Semper fi, glory to the Corps, and may Sasha - and her ilk - stick around here a while to learn a whole lot more.
I'm a newbie here too. Thank you for forming this support group.
I'm not a vet. But, I do have a son serving in the US Marine Corps currently in Iraq. I have a son lin law about to leave for boot camp.
God bless all our troops and all our vets. We wouldn't be the great country we are today without our great military.

Welcome, Zar63. You ARE a member of the BIG military family. I am VERY active in the Anerican Legion down here in Texas and also a volunteer out at the Natl Cemetary here. I frequently attend Legion conferences and conventions and ANYTHING new I learn there, I will be posting in this site. And you are so right,,without our wonderful sons, brothers, fathers and daughters etc in the military and doing what they do, things would be a lot different around here. And of course they continue to fight for the basic freedoms that we have taken so much for granted in the US of A, fror others.
