Speaking of "Have You Hugged a Vet Lately?" I just found out my daughter is getting to come home for the Labor Day weekend and my birthday, so I'll get to hug her!! She may not yet be a Vet, but she's our little Airman!!

My new job at the VA inspires me every day. Those men and women gave a lot for our freedom, and I try to remember that as I meet and greet each one of them. They are the best part of the entire job.

I am looking for a job. I thought that working at the VA would be very fulfilling. Do you know how to get ahold of the VA about jobs?

It is a Federal Job and as such you have to go thru the Govt. Not exactly sure of the website maybe USGOV.COM/JOBS of something similar to that. The VA hospitals also need volunteers during the week but those of ccurse are nonpaid jobs,being volunteers.I imagine it will not be easy getting a paid position at a VA Hopsital unless one is in the medical field. VA run on very tight budget. I commend you on wanting to work there. To start, call the closest VA Facility nearest to you and they will guide you from there. Good luck.

The VA and all federal offices now use USAjobs.com to advertise positions. It's a really easy site to navigate.

Sometimes it is difficult to get a federal job, and they have all sorts of rules and forms you have to send along with the application.
