You are a beautiful woman and that is what should come out first when anyone meet you for the first time. Self confidence. My question is at 41, am I now a cougar if I go after a younger guy? Where did cougar come from?

Seems silly being a guy posting in this group but I wanted to let you ladies know how grateful I am to have experienced a number of relationships with more mature women.

When guys are young we don't know nuttin' about nuttin' and mainly rely on the locker room bragging about that which we know nothing of.

When I was 27 I was incredibly fortunate to meet and have an amazing three year relationship with a fiery hot 37-year old red headed woman who taught me so much about life through our relationship. She taught me how to be in the moment and experience every sensation (both giving and receiving) and even if the relationship is temporary, imagine some guy about to hit 50 saying thank you for having been in my life Sandie.

Not only does god have a sense of humour about child-bearing age (we have kids when we are still kids ourselves) but guys hit their sexual peak in their early 20s whilst you hit yours in mid-late 30s. So I can only say go for it cougar girlfriends and to hell with what people think or say!

You have earned the right to experience pleasure so keep repeating that mantra and to hell with anyone else who thinks otherwise!

I couldn't agree more with your opinion. I only wish that I had realized this a few months ago, I was dating a guy much younger( 24 years) and couldn't get over the age difference so I broke up with him, I have missed him every day since then, I truly love him and wish that I had not let society ruin a good thing for me. Life is short and we need to enjoy it no matter what other people think, so long as no one is getting hurt.

When I was a sprout, growing up in the wilds of Montana, cougars were big pussies who roamed the woods and preyed on deer, elk, cattle and sheep. Now the(double entendre at work here)roam, the prey is younger men, and the wilds are not only the wilderness or rural communities, but most especially cities with a larger population of 'dears' in their natural habitat from whom to choose. And, urbancougars are 'Dressed to Kill', so to speak.

Funny how urban cougar has evolved: In 1982 San Francisco, the Urban Cougar was the Homeless Man in winter on the soup kitchen line off Turk Street, refusing other forms of public assistance. then he'd trek off to Nevada or Idaho for shepherding in Spring through Fall...
