Many couples with no age difference at all have troubles at the 7 year mark. I had a sweetheart 13 years my junior who lived with me for 9 years. Age was never our issue.

My husband is 4 years younger than I and we have been married for almost 17 years. That might not be considered much of an age difference, but when you compare it to a former relationship I had with a man that was 10 years older than I, it was quite a change!

As for how much younger I would go, I would never date one that is young enough to be my son! That's just too young for me.

I am about to marry a man 20 years younger than I. He is two months younger than my daughter who is delighted by the whole thing. We have been together for two years now. We do have to work on the difficult aspects of our relationship that are age related. They exist but they don't override the joys that we find in each other.

I married a man 16 years younger than me. He is 2 years older than my older son. I had 5 kids with a man 9 years older than me who was a disaster.

My second husband love my kids and they love and respect him so much that they introduce him as "their father".

I was 35 yrs. old and he was 20 when we married. People said we will last 3 month. So we decided to enjoy those 3 month to the max.

Well, last May 7, 2008, we celebrated our 20 ANNIVERSARY, how's that!! And we still together like the first day. This kind of relationship does not works the same for everybody but when it works, IS AWESONE.

Don't be afraid if he/she is responsable, respectfull, and hard worker. Do not marry a punck, of course. Good luck.

Thanks, Maria. We're taking life as it unfolds before us. I can't say we'll be together for 5, 10 or WOW 20 years like you have but we love every day together right now. We are about to move across the country so that I can begin a graduate degree program. New challenges and stressors. What an adventure!

My husband is 17 years younger than me. We met when he was 20 and I was 37...now he is 28 and I am 45. We have been married 3 years now. Our relationship is great, my daughters (who are 3 and 4 years tounger than him) also introduce him as their "dad" and my grandkids all adore him. Age is only an issue to people who don't know us, everyone that does says we were made for each other. I dont' know what the future holds, 17 years is a wide age difference, but we are happy and in love so, so far, so good.
